MARK BAKER-SANCHEZ is a visual designer & director combining eloquent storytelling with conceptual design, heightening awareness around those yet to be seen or heard. His human-centered approaches prioritize direct community impact — elevating and empowering brands as well as the people who rely on them. As a man of many colors, Mark finds synthesis with what is and isn’t socially acceptable to spark dialogue as well as unite divided peoples. Working within a fast-paced corporate environment inspires him to serve a sense of delight, gentleness, and confidence in his daily work and interactions.

He holds a BFA in Communication Design and a Minor in Art History from The University of North Texas where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. During the course of his academic career, he has been an active member of the DSVC and AIGA; contributed to high-profile publications including Harper's BAZAAR; is passionate about mentoring younger generations wanting to pursue careers in art & design; and is an advocate for safe spaces, collaboration co-creation. His work has been recognized by The Society of Publication Designers; The Dallas Society of Visual Communications — founded in 1957 as the DFW Art Directors Club; The National Student Show; The Art Guild of the Delta; & The Society of Adventist Communicators.

MARK is the Founder, Editor-In-Chief & Design Director of DONE, a publication created for & by the underrepresented. He is also the Digital Art Director at D Magazine, where he leads all digital creative services and oversees the translation of the magazine from print to online; including web, social, video, animation, photo and motion covers. He's always open to new opportunities and loves to connect on new endeavors.
