Neighbors operates through invitation and deliberate scale. Held during Expo Chicago week. The fair establishes proximity between  practices shaping the field and the audiences, as well as collectors prepared to engage them with sustained attention between past and present.
I was commissioned by Mirka Serrato to create two brand identities for her alternative arts practice: the parent company, Miri; and Neighbors, the art fair event that would fall under the Miri corporation. This began by developing a comprehensive questionnaire that aided in gathering more of the backstory as well as the why, what, and how of Miri. This information was used to craft the storyline, which then influenced all brand design decisions.
The Neighbors visual identity is a careful curation providing a sense of institutional reserve with elegant charm. BakerSanchez, Inc. provided a full 360 brand identity and storyline for Neighbors, seeing it through from conception to its official debut held in the historic Astor Court mansion in Chicago 2026.
